GIFT CharityThrough a series of engaging activities and initiatives, GIFT has brought together diverse groups within the community to make a positive impact and spread joy in the lead up to this special festival. Among the initiatives, a pre-Shavuot Mother & Daughter event was held at the GIFT offices in London, where beautiful flower arrangements were made for families supported by GIFT. Batmitzva girl Anabelle Fleischmann, together with her friends and family packed 100 beautiful Shavuot packs for families supported by GIFT. These packs included fresh flowers in a vase and the ingredients to create Torah scroll cookies. GIFT Manchester engaged over 100 students from King David School & Broughton Jewish Primary School in plant pot decorating for residents of Heathlands Old Age Home, Shavuot cards for GIFT families & flower arranging for Beenstock Old Age Home residents. Shavuot celebrations were made even sweeter through the involvement of, year 4 students who participated in cupcake decorating, creating delightful treats for GIFT families, while Year 3 students contributed by decorating cupcakes for the Beenstock Old Age Home. Yavneh Girls made cheesecake truffles for GIFT families, showcasing their commitment to giving back and spreading happiness during Shavuot. In addition to these activities, GIFT by Feast, Manchester’s Giving Kitchen, went above and beyond by organising special deliveries to GIFT families for Shavuot to ensure their holiday could be celebrated with joy and abundance. GIFT Israel involved a total of 240 students across 10 different classes in hands-on activities and hosted a community activity where 40 children decorated flowerpots for families.
